Despite the league’s best efforts, the Footscray Football Club survived into the newly renamed AFL competition. New league logo for and new sponsor.

1994-95

Sponsor added to back of jumper.

1996

AFL Centenary Season shield.

1997

Following years of merger discussions pushed by the now-AFL, the Footscray Bulldogs became the Western Bulldogs to expand their reach into the growing western suburbs. New board member Trevor Flett would design a new look for the club including the club logo - known as the ‘robo-dog’ - on the bottom white hoop. The jumper would feature a darker blue. The top white hoop removed from the back of the jumper. New jumper manufacturer.

1998

New sponsor on front of jumper and jumper manufacturer logo updated. Updated back of jumper sponsor. The club would also put the F.F.C. initials above the numbers as part of a compromise with the Footscray Forever group.

1999

The Dogs would update their logo slightly in 1999 and therefore change the dog on the jumper. They would also change to blue collars and cuffs in all but three games. They would also have a new sponsor and jumper manufacturer.

2000-01

The Dog on the front of the jumper would be made smaller for the new millennium as well as the addition of the new AFL logo. The jumper’s colours would also become noticeably darker.

2002

Multiple change of sponsors all season before signing a long term deal with Leaseplan.

2003

New jumper template with a new jumper manufacturer, with the club logo taking it’s place.. New sock design

2004-05

Updated sponsor logo. Jumpers made by Azuma but unable to source logo (Logo should be where club logo is on collar).

2006

New jumper manufacturer saw updated colours on collar and cuffs.

2007-08

The jumper would lose their red cuffs. White outline around sponsor logo.

2009

Sponsorship from Mission Foods begins.

2010-11

All blue collar with new jumper manufacturer.

2012-13

Member feedback following the club wearing the ‘Premiership hoops’ as a one-off jumper to celebrate contributors to the debt reduction effort, they would run a poll between the main three designs worn by the club during their VFL/AFL era to decide which jumper the club would wear into the future, to which the ‘Premiership hoops’ convincingly won.

2014

Return to hooped socks.

2015-16

Thinner and lower hoops with a new/renamed apparel sponsor.

2017

Following the 2016 AFL Premiership, the jumper would feature the gold AFL logo. The club would have a new apparel sponsor who would also include a red insert at the collar. The club would return to the traditional blue from pre-1997.

2018

Usual AFL logo returns and new back of jumper sponsor signs up.

2019-20

Collar design would change slightly and a new back of jumper sponsor logo design.

2021

Red collar and cuffs. Following the 2020 season and the COVID pandemic, the AFL allowed clubs to include a sponsor above the number on the back. This meant the club would move the F.F.C. that was in the same location and move it to heart of the jumper.

2022

Updated below-number sponsor logo.

2023

Asics Jumper collar design changed and the colour changed to white. Both below and above number sponsors update their logo.

2024

New above number sponsor.
